Lose Weight. Live Life. Podcast

Oct 23, 2020

Today’s episode is all about how to choose what and how you eat carefully, so that your body is ‘fat adapted’.

When you are fat adapted your body is efficient at using its own fat as a source of fuel and energy. And this is what you want when you’re losing weight because, not only will the weight come off more easily, but it will be easier not to overeat because you will feel less hungry.

But unfortunately, many of us, especially those of us who are overweight, are not fat adapted. For many of us it’s difficult to lose weight because our eating habits have unknowingly caused our bodies to only be using readily available glucose and glycogen as a source of energy and fuel, and not our own body fat, in the way that they should be.

And today we explore why that’s happening and what you can do about it.
